WHAT IS PAKREADY?

Pakready is a system that allows you to create packaging prototypes of a superior standard in a fraction of the normal time and at a fraction of the cost.

IS PAKREADY A PRE-PRESS PROOFING SYSTEM?

While the prototype packaging produced via Pakready is of exceptional quality, we do not sell the system as a pre-press proofing device.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PAKREADY?

Pakready will save you time and money, by doing the things you already do - quicker, cheaper and with much greater accuracy and flexibility. The system will provide you with:

HOW FAST IS THE SYSTEM?

We say you can produce a Pakready prototype quicker than you can make a proper cup of tea. That's around 6 minutes from pushing the button!

IS PAKREADY A WET OR DRY FINISH?

Because of Pakready's unique processes, prototypes are dry on completion.

CAN PAKREADY PRINT ON ANY STOCK TYPE?

Thanks to Pakready's unique coating system, you can print onto just about any stock you or your clients choose, enabling you to achieve field-test prototypes.

WHAT ABOUT STOCK WEIGHTS?

Pakready works from 38 micron foils and acetates to any calliper of carton board and corrugated.

WHAT ABOUT GLOSS AND SATIN FINISHES?

Pakready offers a range of coatings that allow you to achieve a high gloss or satin finish, in order to emulate your chosen finish.

IS PAKREADY UNIQUE?

As far as we are aware, the complete 'Pakready system' is unique.

BUT CAN YOU USE AN EPSON PRINTER?

That's right, Pakready uses an Epson printer. We felt it made perfect sense to work with one of the leading names in printing technology to develop this part of our system. By utilising Epson technologies, we have been able to couple a tried and tested print device with our trademarked inks, coatings and cutting tables. This helps us keep the system cost manageable.

CAN I USE MY EXISTING EPSON PRINTER?

Yes you can, but you cannot switch between Pakready's exclusive inks and those from other manufacturers.

CAN I BUY MY OWN EPSON PRINTER?

Yes you can, but once you use anything other than Epson inks, Epson's guarantees are void. If you buy the printer through Pakready, however, we will provide a Pakready guarantee to replace Epson's.

CAN I USE PAKREADY'S INKS AND COATINGS?

Yes. It's the unique qualities of our inks and coatings that provide the unique Pakready finish. No other inks or coatings will give you the same results.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I USE ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS/INKS?

Not only will the process not work, like Epson's guarantee, Pakready's guarantee will no longer be valid.

HOW STABLE ARE THE COLOURS?

The colours are very stable. They have been developed to give consistent results time after time.

WHAT ABOUT CRACKING?

The Pakready Cutter is designed to both cut and crease; this makes assembly easy and prevents cracking from virtually ever happening.

HOW COMPLICATED CAN MY CUTTING FORMS BE?

Pakready knows no boundaries. If you can think it and design it, Pakready can print it and cut it.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SIZE PAKREADY CAN WORK TO?

There is a choice of Pakready devices, ranging from A2 to oversized A1 for single piece finishing. If you need to go beyond these sizes, you can build your prototype in sections, safe in the knowledge of perfect fit and register. If you have a specific requirement for a bespoke Pakready system then we would be delighted to discuss it with you.

DO I NEED TO BUY A FULL PAKREADY SYSTEM?

No you don't. While we have developed an end-to-end delivery system, you are able to select the items you require to meet your goals and link with your existing technology. Remember however, the inks, coatings and Cutter are unique to Pakready and mixing and matching products may invalidate individual guarantees/warranty's.

HOW MUCH SPACE DOES THE COMPLETE PAKREADY SYSTEM REQUIRE?

To safely and efficiently house the complete Pakready system we would recommend that you allow about 5-15 square metres dependent on configuration.

HOW MUCH TRAINING IS REQUIRED?

To run the system from finished design takes around 2 hours training. If you want to benefit from using Pakready's packaging design and build software, we suggest a further 8-12 hours training (the actual time depends on how familiar your designers are with similar design software).

CAN I HAVE ADDITIONAL TRAINING?

Pakready offers a full support and training programme. While we provide an online tutorial, we can also tailor training to your requirements at highly cost-effective rates.

HOW LONG DOES A PAKREADY SYSTEM TAKE TO INSTALL?

From arrival to a clear site, with all relevant power points (something we would advise), installation takes around 2-4 hours.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN GET MY FIRST PAKREADY PROTOTYPE OFF THE SYSTEM?

From installation, and assuming you have a design, you could have a finished prototype within 6 minutes. In reality, you are probably looking at around 2 hours for your first prototype.

CAN I SEE PAKREADY IN ACTION?

Yes you can. You are welcome to visit our offices for a full demonstration (please contact us to make an appointment).

CAN I SEE A PAKREADY SAMPLE?

Yes you can. Simply request a sample and we'll arrange for this to be sent out within 48 hours. Better still, forward one of your designs to our specifications, see 'sample specifications' and we'll return your sample free of charge with 48 hours.

HOW MUCH WILL THE PAKREADY SYSTEM COST ME?

We prefer to think that Pakready will pay for itself and begin to show a profit very, very quickly. How long that will take will depend on how frequently you use the system. Our prices are broken down into modules to fit your requirements, please see 'prices' for these details.
